Renaru is still making clans?
I picked up jk2 from a friend at work in 2002 at the beginning of the summer. Played through SP but did not have internet access until I went to school. Then I went into the hellsfirematrix.com server because I got the best ping in there. Ended up joining HMC eventually, stayed in that clan for 4 years or something then I disbanded it because I hated playing the game and HMC kept me playing because it seemed that without me the clan would have died naturally anyway so I just put an end to it rather than reform it because I neither cared nor had the time. Then I joined some new clan that was formed with some of my buds from HMC, I forget the clanname, then when that died I just fazed out and stopped playing. Now I couldn't even play regularly if I wanted to because I can't ever see any servers.

And why the fuck cant you see any servers? I guess u might still use ASE, if thats true, you can delete that, not working anymore since Yahoo shut it down.

I used to use ASE but it hasn't worked in awhile, especially now since you've told me that Yahoo shut it down. Basically my issue with servers is that with the JK2 MP, when I go to the normal server search function, it will just search forever and never bring anything up. For some odd reason, I can see only 1 server on my favorites, which is the jotr/motf open server. I have searched for some time for a solution to my problem, but nothing has ever worked, including reinstalling, installing on a separate comp, tinkering with my router, tinkering with files, etc.

hmm.. thats pretty strange.. rly.. I guess u have some problems with the masterserver IPs, maybe u have changed something with ur .cfg so the masterserver IPs are wrong.. well anyways.. i have another solution for the qTracker.. pretty similar to ASE.. pretty neat.. try it!

my story:
my best friend pre-orderd jk2 on a website and we did single player at his home, defeated desann with force speed + force absorb and blue style.
after single player i thought it was a cool game and he gave me a copy (which i still use). after defeating single player again i left it for 2 weeks. till i was bored and picked it up , and found the multiplayer option. i hit it, and found no server (didnt had cable yet Rolling Eyes ) so i told my friend about it who gave me the copy and he had 2 computers on lan, so for the first 3 weeks we were just dueling each other and found out about dfa and mindtrick ("WOW YOU DISAPPEARED, HOW DID YOU DO THAT" Cool ) after 4 weeks we got cable so joined a random server with the name Mace Windu.
i met a few people multiple times (FoU tiberius(not fou yet) and reno*wask, to name some oldies.
then open bar went online and me and my real life friend went to that server about everyday at 7 o clock. by then i had the name /2estyler (he had /2enegade) and met awesome people like:
IP blazer (he wasnt IP yet lol)
corpse grinder
bar of soap
master samurai
nohman
9.(akimbos)
7. (knives)
46. (resli)

we hang out for a long time , (over a year)
dont think they still play anymore tho. i saw corpse grinder few weeks ago and had a long chat. anybody knows if blazer , master samurai or bar of soap still play?
anyways me and master samurai decided to make a clan {jotc} (jedis of the council ) Wink
blazer , corpse , soap and my friend joined along with some other dude ( black panther if i recall right)
the clan lasted for 2 months untill i decided to quit. and so did others
we still hang out with each other, then master samurais pc broke and i havent seen him since.
my friend decided to quit playing 2 because he had a way better pc than me, and went on to play other games.
me , blazer, soap and corpse went on. blazer joined IP and later kronic ( :+Smile corpse joined kronic and after it died just went on clanless, soap quit about 3 months after jotc died. but ive seen him multiple times after.
i took the name of Original. and have it now for atleased 5 or more years.
i started ctf in about 2005 (yes till then i didnt actualy noticed the gametype tab Embarassed ) so i noticed more fou people, besides tibby. went to the fou forums and hang out a lot. till i got invited.
that brings us to 2009.
i mostly hang out with fisto and molly and others
after tiberius passed away ,im the only fou left in jk2 who plays on regular basis. we still have our events from time to time and most of fou is active on the forum. we kinda wait till battlefield heroes is released or any other fun game.
i dont like cheaters
i do like pie!
